I was reviewing my blog posts from years ago when I began developing Dogfight and I found these:
June 2nd, 2009:
I submitted our first iPhone game. A WWI airplane simulator that should be in the Apple Store. I've put a video of the beta in
Notice there was no such thing as multiplayer.
In June 2010 I got multiplayer working. Those 2 airplanes are me from a computer and an iPhone at the same time.
By December 2010 many things were adding but visually I began improving the terrain (yeah, that was a big improvement right?
Also in December 2010 I was playing already with the 3d for tanks, although the physics were slightly off. The famous flying tanks:
In March 2011 I finally managed to get the targeting system right. (The little arrows pointing to where the enemies are).
By May 4, 2011 most of Dogfight as we know it today was there:
In May 2011 also the parachuter began to work:
In June 5, 2011, tanks and explosions were added:
Today is a slow Sunday and since TV is not an option, I decided to do some nice explosions for the next version of the game.
June 7, 2011, the parachuter and tanks were ready for multiplayer:
I've just finished the last touches on the improved parachuter, tanks, explosions and the zeppelin. I'll release a beta for Android today and hopefully Apple will approve the final version 4.0 before the end of the week.
In June 25, 2011 this forum was created!
Since the game has been downloaded more than 200,000 times, I've decided it was time to give it its own site where Dogfighters could exchange their latest tricks:

In December 19, 2011 what I defined as the first official non-beta release of Dogfight was out:
It's been over a year of development and lot of iterations and additions... but today it's the official release of Dogfight!
